Dodge 99 Dodge Dakota Towing Capability (1 Viewer)

I would like to tow my stock fj40 from Los Angeles to Kentucky. The Dodge is rated at 4300lbs with a class 3 Hitch, 3.9l 5 speed manual 2wd reg cab, the fj40 will go on a tow dolly or tow bar with both drive shafts removed and weights around 3500lbs.

Has anyone towed an fj40 across the country with a Dakota and would it be ok to just use the tow bar instead of the dolly from uhaul?

The only difference between a dolly and a pull bar would be rather or not you want the weight pushing down on the back of the truck or not...either way i would assume it could be done
