Back into a 100.....was away for 3yrs. They have a certain feel. I missed it. Don't miss the all time awd....that'll get fixed in time. Picked up this 98 white 100. Had 300k on it when I got it. Going to pretty much go the same direction I did with my other 100. Adding sliders, & a part time kit....for now

Started her off with a fresh clean up and tint. Seriously hate fishbowling....but first the dogs had to go for a ride. Chance the smaller dingo is used to this platform, my new girl Gracie is getting used to the lifestyle.

First things first for fixes. Rear e locker doesn't work. Cleaned the actuator to no luck. Sunroof doesn't work. OD doesn't work....which I'm really hoping is just the button

One thing led to another.... Was supposed to be a new radiator and tints. Somehow scooped up a set of tundra spares, repainted them, got some 10ply AT's. Called it a day-ish-kinda...

Very nice. Love the Vistacruiser name. Brings back childhood memories.

At this point I was infected again..... Plagued with the typical new vehicle new build idea in my head. That translated too late nights looking at parts.... One night the parts list met a bottle. We drank together. A few weeks later s*** started showing up...🤷😬
Fox 2.0s (only got the rears in)
Ironman 4x4 torsion bars
OME rear springs
Rear air bags for trailer duty

Had to go out and play at the Badlands & test almost everything. Really wished the rear locker was working....to be continued...

Happy to hear I could contribute in some way shape or form to memories. Never had a wagon in our family but remember always riding in the third row seat of a family friends facing back flicking off cars with friends as a kid... I deemed my first hundred series the Vista cruiser. We drove into many sunsets

Cool. Vista Cruisers had the extra glass top for additional headroom in the 3rd row seat. Fun days.

Also forgot to that I did the mud flap delete..it's such a simple, yet effective way to maintain keeping your rear bumper for as long as possible.

I'm a stickler for proper offset. I throw the word proper around really loosely as well as this is just my personal taste. As much as I liked how the steelies looked. I couldn't help myself but think of a nice wider wheel. I'm also a huge fan of black rhino wheels as they normally equate to just the right offset that I'm looking for. Now if only they could be a little bit lighter. 18x9.5" +6 with 295/70/18. Yes. They rub. I believe I have to just get the fox shocks in on the front so I can adjust the torsion bars some more. Also added a full goose gear seat delete kit. Partially so the dogs have more room... Partially because I also secretly miss my old van and all the space that it had in it. So this is sort of my alternative to that.

After getting in the goose gear full seat delete. Had to take the pups out to see if they would like it. Hit the woods and it was a tad muddy...

Turns out they cannot get grip at all on the actual surface of the platform. No problem. I'll just cut a little bit of carpet....replace it in 6 months with another piece.

Got the sliders on this afternoon. I know they've been proven time and time again. However, Im still think of welding these on at some point.

Sadly, after finishing this camping pew up. I realized my planned storage is not as easily available from sitting in the drivers seat as id like. Onto the next idea.

OD doesn't work....which I'm really hoping is just the button

if you pull the center console cover you'll most likely see the od wire has cut itself in half over time. had the same thing happen on one of my 100's. I was able to simply splice in a tiny new strand of wire between the two oem pieces and i was back in business.

Thank you!! Just went out and pulled everything apart. It is unplugged. But now where does it go? Lol

Thinking of wiring a seperate button for OD button....I have a switch laying around the house somewhere. It seems to work If I make/disconnect at the switch. Cant tell as the spring is missing and it seems to be working backwards. In is off, out is on? Does that sound right? lol. Im being a cheap **** and trying to reinvent the wheel instead of just getting a new button.

Also decided to put the steelies back on after running the 35s for a bit. To see the difference....WOW what a difference it is. It did rub a bit which I knew, but I guess i didnt realize how much i compensated driving it for that. These 32's make it feel nimble as heck lol. WAY easier driving around town...Now considering just going to a 33s and ditching the 35s idea. My last 100 had 295/60/18s and those fit niceeee on a 1.5" lift. Things to ponder while at the dinner table with family tonight...

Dogs come first....wearing them out is priority number one. Sometimes we get lost in those moments. The luxuries of no kids or GF. Do whatever the F we want
