Would it be possible to post a short video that highlights the underhood condition you're talking about? Would be helpful for those of us far away. Thanks!

Sounds valvetrain related for sure. It looks like the valve cover gasket was recently replaced? Could there be something in contact with the cover, gasket, etc? Can you feel anything on the VC? Just a guess...
 
May be an Exhaust leak. Does it change much once the truck is at op temp?
 
Price seems reasonable given the unknown engine malady. Have you thought about getting a professional opinion? Will help everyone make a good decision...

Beware this truck has damaged rod bearing. That is what the noise. This truck is not worth the money and seller is playing dumb about it.
