97 Cruiser, GPS (1 Viewer)

So, I'm looking to outfit my cruiser with a GPS unit, nothing big, probably one of the $150-200 models. Was wondering if anyone had a good mod on where to put it. The nice big hole on the console looks like a good place, as well as the empty spot about the stereo where a drink holder can go. Point me to the best way, and any recommendations you have.

I've thought about mounting a gps using the drink holder slot above the stereo. It is not clear to me whether or not that would put the gps in the path of a deploying airbag.
