My front rotors are warped and I am due for brakes. I do a decent amount of towing and I want to buy brakes and rotors that will hold up to a little extra heat. Any suggestions on brand and vendors?

Thanks,

Joe

Well, I was going to suggest getting on tirerack and ordering the hawk hp pads for the front of an 80 series. When I bought mine a couple of weeks ago, they were on sale for $39. Now it looks like they are special order and back at the regular price of $100 or so.

X3 OEM rotors and 100 Series pads. They have served me very well!

X4 on the oem rotors and 100 series pads..... they get the job done

I want to try Cryo Slotted rotors with 100 pads. I used a set of Cryo slotted rotor on my 96 2500 Sub w 7.4(454) motor with stock pads and the stopping was night and day for a very heavy truck...

Are the 100 pads a simple one-for-one fit? I need to do mine. Again.

With the 100 Series pads they are installed in the 80 Series calipers without the shims. Also, it is highly recomended to install them on new 80 Series rotors or newly turned rotors as they have a larger surface area and can create wear and braking issues if this is not done.
