I’m unloading two of my three to hopefully make room for a 40. I haven’t had this one long and will do the best I can to describe what I do know. It’s not the prettiest thing ever and the engine knocks, but the engine still has full power and Texas rust free.

I pulled it off a ranch west of Fort Worth where it lived for all 12 years the previous owners had it. I had it inspected and serviced at the Landcruiser specialist in Austin, TX. The interior is rough w/266k on the odometer. This is an ideal ranch truck, mudder/crawler, or even parts.

The good:
Rust free
OEM electronic lockers
New radiator, windshield, & peske heater valve
35’s (including a not pictured 35” spare)
Winch
Button to lock differential electronically
3rd row seats are in great shape
Custom rear tire carrier
The green light around the “D” lights up
That’s it....

The bad:
Knocking engine (still full power)
Air bag light comes off and on
Exterior poor paint/body work
Some parts don’t match
Front seats are both obliterated (new seat covers)
Middle seats are rough
Steering wheel is rough shape (new cheap cover)
Rear door power locks don’t work

Again, this is a ranch truck, I’m sure there are a lot more things wrong that I’m missing. I haven’t had it long and haven’t done much with it.

Feel free to ask questions and I’ll do the best I can. Thought I’d offer it up to the ihatemud community before trying to clean it up (a little) for the general public at a a higher price.

What’s a ranch truck? Does that mean it’s never been registered and used on public roads? I don’t get it.

I went to look at it. The "bad" aspects that John put in his description are accurate. I think he means "ranch truck" as in it was maintained by the PO as someone might on a ranch or farm. If someone wants to repair/rebuild or swap the knocking engine, it's an excellent base for a trail / crawler rig IMO.

Yes, what johnnyfish said is correct.

The ranch I pulled it off was a large plot of land where the family would spend time, hunt, escape, etc. This truck was permanently there and served as a capable truck to drive around the property, refill feeders, run local errands, pull out lesser capable stick trucks, and used as a work truck when a truck job was needed. I don’t know if it saw a vacuum cleaner or thorough detailing in all 12 years. They would jump in and go to wherever it is they wanted on the ranch and do what they needed to do.

It would be quite a project to get it back to a pretty show worthy 80, which is why I am trying to set as realistic of expectations as possible in the description. I feel it’s best place is back on a ranch somewhere where looks/knocking isn’t a concern, or as a crawler/mudding rig. But that’s just my opinion, to each their own!

I'm interested. Where are you located. I might come check it out. I'm in Houston for a couple of weeks and doinhg some work in the hill country.

Hello, I am located in NW Austin. I would be happy to show the ranch truck anytime you like, just let me know. Thanks,

Whats happening with the driver side quarter panel?

Im interested if its not sold.

It is still available but I do have a couple interested parties stating they’re coming to get it this week. However, I have not taken a deposit so first one with greenbacks gets it.

I have no idea what happened with the drivers side quarter panel. Tape lines are evident but no smoking gun.
