Got a no start issue on my 94 FZJ80 OBD1 when its raining or the day after it rains. I do have a leaking windshield and sunroof. The truck cranks fine and will occasionally try to catch but not fire. Once I crank it for awhile it used to catch and run and stay running when warm.
These are the things I can readily test that have been tested:
I have fuel, no start with a shot of ether at the throttle body
Direct ground block to battery terminal
Fusible links good
ECU is completely dry at the plugs and harness.
Water is not getting on the harness at the kick panels
Relays swapped around and working
Fuses all good
I have fuel to the cylinders from swapping plugs
Alarm is functioning correctly and factory
I have spark at the coil and plugs
Dustributor looks fine on opening, dry and no excessive corrosion on the cap
Replaced spark plugs
Circuit opening relay bypassed with wide open throttle
Oil is clean and honey colored and no particles or blow by.
Fuel filter was last replaced by Mr. T 2 years ago and was the culprit last time around for a long crank start. Its had a lot of fuel and miles dumped through it
I dont have a multimeter to check relays or the electrical know how to trouble shoot it.
I am going to clean up the terminals better again and see if that helps with baking soda and water.
Truck is a daily driver and I need it to get around for the next month so any thing I am missing would be helpful.
Compression is good from what I can tell and see.
What am I missing?
