Where is this check valve located?
The fuel pressure regulator holds pressure on one end, the check valve in the fuel pump on the other, and injectors can leak (rare).
The 80 had been parked less than 30 minutes. After he bolted the fuel line back on it fired right up (less than 3 seconds) same as it always does.
So not a problem. I have never seen a leak down issue on a 1FZ. When the starter is activated, the fuel pump is also, brings it up to pressure quickly. If an injector were leaking, it will normally flood that cylinder, causing excessive rich/black smoke, start up.
