93 FJZ80 with CE Code 83,84, & 85 (1 Viewer)

My families ride is not riding too well. Idle is very low and the volt meter drops along with the headlights diming when i come to a stop light or stop in traffic and idle. When i give it gas the volt meter jumps up and lights brighten.. I bought a new battery hoping this would fix the prob. but no luck.
I just did a diagnostic test and received codes 83,84, & 85.
I understand this to be an open or shorted ECM or circuit.
Any ideas where to start?
Is this a symptom of a bad alternator?

Well, check out this thread regarding the 83, 84, 85. Cruiserdan speaks from personal experience. I don't know that the error codes are related to the low charge output at idle. That sounds more like an alternator/voltage regulator problem. Or yet another bad battery or a bad connection.
