Well, I realize now that I won't be doing much offroading anytime soon, seeing how it's pretty frigging scarry to go in the woods with 3 and 4 year old kids by yourself; and with a job and all it makes little sence to be just driving that thing around town - as pleasant as it may be.
so I'm considering selling the Landcrusier.
If anyone's interested contact me sm.good@yahoo.ca . I'm in the okanagan.
Just for the record it's a 1991 turbo diesel with 124000 km, VX, RHD, excellent shape, new sony stereo with alpine speakers. 24 000$
Any comments about where best to advertise or prise or anything else?! Is it worth selling it?

Personally, I do not think it is worth selling it if you are thinking and dreaming about wheeling. But then again, not everyone is willing to run an expensive truck into the bush where the possibility of natural pin striping and custom body work is quite likely. There must be clubs or people in the Okanogan who want to wheel a bit with their familes. If you are still set on selling, try here:

You can also list in the auto trader and get a better idea about asking prices from it and and view the importer web sites.

Good luck.

WOW you just got it now you are selling it?

I have a 4 yr old and a 15 month old who I wouldn't hesitate to go wheeling alone with.

My 4 yr old asks me all the time when we are going wheeling next.

I don't think you'll be doing an extensive amount of hardcore stuff with that truck. Just get out there with the kids on some forest service roads and go exploring, that's what I do with my girl and she loves it.
Here's a pic of some of the stuff we do (she's in the front seat you can see through the window)

Yah I would not hesitate to go out alone with my kids. In fact I am looking forward to doing so. it all depends on what you want to do. If you are a little worried about getting stuck, ensure you have the right equipment to do a self extraction. Many guys put receiver hitches on the front and back to accomadate a winch that can be moved to either end. That's a good idea.

If the cross ditch looks too deep, don't try it.

I don't think there is a safer vehicle than a cruiser for city driving either. Those little ones are plenty safe in there. Much more so than a mini van or such.
