91 FJ80 Transfer case leak (1 Viewer)

I have fluid leaking from the weep holes between the transfer case and the transmission. I believe its the t-case because the previous owner used clear synthetic oil in there and the transmission has red fluid. My question is, is there a an easy fixable seal or is this going to be a monumental task? Thanks for the input in advance.

Gear oil has a very distinctive smell, and there's no such thing as clear synthetic gear oil. All oils have a brownish tint and the gear oil inside the transfer case should be the color of honey and stink like gear oil unless the wrong fluid was used.
