Looking for bolt in winch options for the 80 Series ARB front bumper, emphasis on bolt-in. Looking at the WARN 26502 M8000 Series. Not doing crazy wheeling, just need it for insurance.

An 8K winch is too light for an 80 IMO. Warn M12K. Buy once.
^^this and check Craigslist and FB marketplace for good used at a reduced price.

Yeah, I think you're right. Damn money pit.
I don't really know of any modern winch models that are not bolt in. You can get by with a good 10k winch but 12k is optimum . I know a lot of folks that run the warn 9.5 but its seems very strong and fast (and expensive) compared to others in its class
