I ordered from Amazon, what I thought was the proper LX470 filter as advertised. When I received it, it was Lexus/Toyota YZZD1 filter. Apparently they are pposed the exact same spec except the length is longer on our D3s.

The LS400, LS430 and a LX470 use the D3 filter. Bad idea to temporarily use the D1 filter on our 100 Series?
Thanks in advance.

Careful, it will turn your blinker fluid into a grenade!

Why not just return the D1 to Amazon and get the correct D3?

The D1 is for 4-cylinder engines. Even though the screw thread and bypass pressures are the same, it does not mean it will handle the higher flow of the 6 and 8 cylinder oil pumps.

Use the D1 on your lawn tractor or generator and get a D3 for your vehicle.

Going to buy the proper filter. Was thinking of going with Denso, but I will research the forum to see if there’s something better.
