I’m curious why front high pinion has adjuster for side to side and rear 9.5 just uses shims the shims are not fun to deal with

Only the Elocker diff uses shims, the standard one uses adjuster nuts like the front.

Nice I did security for mr smallz when he came to lynn ma. to get a puppy . fyi
 
I don't see a problem with the shims other than the cost of having them on hand. I read once that the shims produce a more rigid assembly but I have no idea if that is true.
 
From my experience the problem with shims is you have to have 1 piece if you try to sneak a 5thou in to tighten up the carrier they get mangled.
 
What was he like?
Biggie was big, smooth and hard to understand, and I grew up in the hood type area. But he was regular, not "famous" regular dude loved pitbulls and white girls. DMX came out also to get a pup. lots of high end pitbulls came out of lynn ma.
