Hello everybody! Last week I purchased my 1st TLC. 100k miles exactly, great body, power windows, locks, etc. etc. I'm very excited about it BUT I have one question:

1. How many miles do you guys get on a full tank? The price isn't a problem BUT I filled up the same day of the purchase and I reset the mile counter to 0. I'm right below a 1/4 of a tank and I've driven 212 miles. I'm having the truck totally restored so I'm driving 6 hours away to drop it off. Typically how many miles per gallon do you get when you fill up? Any gas mileage info that you guys can provide is greatly appreciated!!!!!

In my 60 series i get 16.9 MPG but that won't be reflected in your 62 series due to my tire size and your auto tranny......i think you could safely say 10 MPG to plan for your 6 hour trip but don't bank on that.

lunyou

gmmceo, use "search" and you'll find plenty about the gas mileage. If I was at 212 I'd be looking for a gas station. ;)

I get between 12 & 14 mpg.

Your mileage is right on average. Before I lifted mine and put the 33's on it, I would get 12-13 mpg with my normal daily driving, split between in town and highway. On road trips if I was nice to it, I could stretch it out to 15ish. But, like I said, depending on how you drive it, you're right on track. I usually try not to go below 1/4 tank before refilling, and I would usually get around 200 miles per 3/4 of a tank, give or take 10 or 15, depending on if it was topped off or not, and how and where I drove.

Congrats on the cruiser. Welcome to the addiction!

with 34s stock gearing and uncorected speedo i go 200 between fill ups. corected thats like 218 so you good to go.
