For Sale 89 FJ62 in Alabama

Anyone close to this FJ62 in Vestavia Hills, AL who can go check it out? It's supposed to be a low miles original but it's at a used car dealership so I'm a little hesitant to send a check before I have someone put their eyeballs on it. PM me if your close.

No, It looks as if this vehicle had some issues with rust - I passed.

I live very near this vehicle so I went and checked it out. Everything looks nice on the vehicle. The paint is a not original but it looks nice. There is some over spray in places. The underside has some rust but the rear driver side panel has some decent rust underneath and it looks like the rear bumper had some rust, something I have never seen before. The miles are legit and the truck went from NY to FL and then into the collection of the man that delivered it to this dealership.

The man that owns this dealership has a thing for Cruisers. They had 6 or 7 FJ55's in the back, 3-4 FJ60's and 3-4 FJ62's. Apparently whenever he sees one that he likes he buys it and puts it into storage. I was told they had a lot more in storage that they were going to be bringing to the dealership but it sounded like all their prices are high.

I called them a month or two ago and from what I remember this had ~39k miles and is ~$15k. The fact that several have passed on this should tell you something but can't beat the miles if legit.

I went there yesterday and looked at all of them. That one had rust everywhere, all the other ones did too.

I live right by this place and the guy buys all he can regardless of condition. The 62 with 39k original miles has serious body rot. They all are in rough shape and way overpriced.

The red one has 170k and needs a transfer case and they want $7500 for it. Not rust free either.
