Normally I wouldn't ask but looking at the EPC, BJ74's up until 09/88 use 04495-60011 as a part number for brake shoes while 88/09 to 90/01 use part number 04495-60060. I was just going to go into my local auto-parts store and ask for some shoes for a Canadian spec BJ70 since I thought all 70 and 60 series shared the same brake hardware but now I'm not sure if I'll come away with the right parts if I do? Does an '89 BJ74 use different brake shoes than other 70 series for some reason?

I dunno: When I put in the 04495-60011 it shows good up till the end of production date for the BJ7* and FJ/HJ6*. (application ends 1990-01)

The 04495-60060 is the Post 1990 7* series, as well as the 8* series. (90-01 and up)

Simple answer, yes...on the BJ74 the rear brakes are the same as the Canadian BJ70, and the North American 6* series.
