Found an interesting document called "1988 New Car Features." It is a Toyota technical document that covers the new features of their vehicle lineup for 1988. As I was looking it over, I was struck by a drawing of the Land Cruiser. Take a look at how high it sits on the suspension. Makes me realize just how much my original springs have sagged over the years!

Here is a pic of my FJ62 before the OME.

Yes, most likely, yes...... (responding to your sig........)

don't forget what size stock tires are...... 28" (well maybe 29")

The artist forgot to include the factory wheel ornaments... :p

Are the body panels supposed to be that straight?

hard to tell, could just be the covers. Looks like it is though (and I had a FF on Sheila).

I was hoping you were going to say that they were going to remake them again! I would put down a deposit! Mike

If you really want to be depressed, I have a copy of a 1988 model year brochure from Australia that shows all the great stuff we can't get or find hard to get on a 62. Diesels, 4 and 5 speeds, factory lockers , sliding rear windows, full float rear ends standard, bench seats (I am not a bucket fan) and the one I have always liked 2 doors on the back instead of the tailgate.

Tony
