Great /informative thread. Anybody use the outfit Mosley Motors for a rebuild? I hear they can give the 2F a bit more kick. I'm getting near the rebuild point and refuse to put anything GM in my rig and don't want to spend 25K for a 2.8 Cummins transplant.

...kidding, of course. I’d love to discuss a motor build when the time comes.

We actually have a 2FE build of sorts going on right now. We have a 2F block bored out to 4.4L, and are putting a non-US carb’d 3F head on it. The ‘E’ will be provided by a Sniper fuel Injection system (shameless plug, let me know if you need one!)

It’s also getting some custom pistons (modern shorter design) and rods that will reduce the weight of each cylinder by about a pound and a half. It should have a much improved throttle response!
