I have the opportunity to buy an 88 dr montero for dirt cheap. Just needs a new carb.
I was thinking of getting it as a DD, but I was told it only gets 16mpg HWY.
Is that right it seems a small 4cylinder SUV should get way more than that.

it is a 4x4 and they all seem to get not so great MPG and it is like a brick on wheels but they are fun to drive and well built.
