Followup detail - written offer of $83k from dealer on trade ('21 LC, blk/brown, 11k miles). Maybe could have squeezed another $1 or 2, but I'm keeping the LC. What would I replace it with that isn't overpriced (as others have pointed out)?

My dealer in Las Vegas offered me 79k for my 21 H.E. I laughed.

If you're talking about Lexus on Sahara in Summerlin thats the second worst dealership ive ever been in. The first was a Kia dealership in Houston.
I hope that speaks to how bad that place is.

I bought the 200 at Findlay in Henderson. However I did purchase a 12 GX 460 last year from Lexus on Sahara and got a pretty good deal on it. Sales lady was Susan and the experience was fine.

I only dealt with new sales, also for a GX coincidentally for my sister so that may be a different "style" department.
Not a single thing the salesperson told me was factual. I played dumb and walked out.

They had previously conned my elderly father into a pretty much base RX 350 with $25,000 down payment at like 3-4% 60 month for full sticker and extras.
I almost burned the place down when i found out. Taking advantage of me, well, im a bit more savvy than that.
Taking advantage of my family and any elderly person is blackout rage mode for me.
Like when a salesperson gets a hold of my wife, I have to take a xanax before dealing with it.

Geez. Yeah, most dealerships are gonna try to peel the max they can out of you. Especially when you get to the F&I dept. That's where you have to be strong and knowledgeable. Taking advantage of an elderly person is not right. Unfortunately a lot of dealerships have a mindset of maximizing profit over future sales.

Pretty crazy.

Paid $82k for my 21 HE in January. I was somewhat grumpy, as only a couple months earlier $80k was doable, in retrospect it was a good deal.

I'm not going to pass this time up as we've got another option for camping and a LS400 for daily driving. I just need to find time to clean it up and put the roof rack back on. Plus, I wouldn't mind going a little smaller with a future replacement.

I traded a '19 for a '21 due to last year, etc. Love it!!!

Having said that, some of the prices I see would make me consider selling it....but it would have to be a big number!
I did the same thing -- traded a 19 for a 21 -- same color. They gave me $70k for my 19 that I paid $78 for new!

Paid $77.990 for ours in December, I was offered $86,655 (sticker) for it by the selling dealer last month. If he comes back at $90K I'd probably let it go and wait out the market.

They’ve tried to buy my 2016 every time I go in for service. Quoted them $10k more then I paid for it in 10/20 and they didn’t bite.

At least in Cali the sales tax takes a big bite, at ~9% one would simply break even, even if someone offered a premium on the original price. I envy those selling / buying big ticket items in states with no sales tax.

Toyota SHOULD prevent these things…it makes the brand looks bad…but i know, i know….
Agreed. Free market and such, but I would think it would reflect poorly on that particular dealership. I can’t imagine anyone paying anything close to that for a late model Land Cruiser.

yeah the dealer I bought my LC from used has offered me 58K which is $2000 less than I paid for it 4 years ago

What are lease prices like on a '21? Just out of curiosity.
