I can take a picture later today. This came out of my front diff. The R&P was put in around 2011 and has about 25k miles on them. I had 4:11s put in when I had the 2F in. Now with the torquey V8 Diesel, I needed to go back to the 3:70’s

Thanks for getting back. I just toasted the front diff in my 87 fj60 (apparently they like oil) and I am assuming it is a 3:7. I am going to put the 5 speed tranny in so...should I change gearing to 4:11? If so I need front and rear. I am looking to drop in a whole units without messing with rebuilding them. Cruiserparts has used for $250 free S&H. Can you educate me about 5 speed tranny and ratios? I take it you just have the one diff? Thanks!
It looks like a 5 speed tranny, 32" tires with 4:11 is the way to go! Correct me if I am wrong. I will need front and rear. If you have both I may be your buyer! coreymckown@gmail.com
Sorry to mention the low ball price I found. I claim temporary insanity due to shock of forgetting gear oil. I am now convinced the 3:7 will be fine. I'll get mine rebuilt. Good luck and thanks.
