1987 BJ71 - Canadian truck with 3b diesel, h55f five speed, and split transfer case. It is the two door version of the fj60, some would say the continuation of the 40 series. She has 415k kms (260 k miles).

The good:
Rock solid drivetrain. 4 cylinder diesel 3b with inline injection pump, 5 speed, mechanical linkage transfer case, aisin locking hubs, powersteering...
Starts in the cold great, tested down to -20C (-4F).
Drives great. Tight steering, shifting, etc.
All new fluids (diffs, gear boxes, steering, rad, clutch, brakes) 5 monthes ago.
Just did wheel bearings and front brakes.
All gauges, marker lights, knobs, switches, etc work.
Good all season tires.
Nice interior.
Suspension front seats, tumble rear bench, ambulance rear doors.
Vented axles and gear boxes.
Heavy duty roof rack.
Frame looks solid.

The bad:

Rusty body. send me a pm and I will email pictures. Basically it's rusty in all the usual places.
Tair pipe rusted off.

Left hand drive. This truck was originally sold in Canada, therefore has the conventional, normal north american steering wheel location.

To answer some questions that came up:

I am selling because I want to drive a pickup, hence the trades accepted for dodge diesel.

I daily drive it 140km (90 miles).

The serial number contains ...BJ71... which, I believe, makes it a bj71.

Its a BJ 70 (BJ 71s) are RHD and have 13B-Ts in them. BUMP for Nelson
