No but hard to seal after it's worn. If the butterfly flapper has been removed you have more options to seal it

Great build! Can you share the part# for the Fox Shocks?

It’s common for the bushing around that pin to wear and leak exhaust gas. That pin runs a flap contraption that helps your carb warm up faster. Some people try to replace the bushings. I think most take out the pin and replace it with bolts and weld it shut. Those of us that are unsure what to do, and don’t want to do something that permanent, use bolts with nuts and high temp sealant. That’s what I did. Works. When that pin and flap is removed your 40 will definitely take longer to warm up. In any event, you’ll need to take off the manifold to do anything about it. And you’ll need to buy a blocker plate from SOR that sits between the intake and exhaust manifolds. Not a complicated job but it’s a pain.

BFG’s are off. Sprayed the factory 15’s. I wanted something slightly darker than the Rustoleum Smoke Gray. Turns out this dark machine gray looks about identical to the smoke. I’m good with it. New tires will go on next week.

Yes it took me a while to find them kept looking on eBay and they finally popped up.

Looks awesome. Your doing a great job with your 40.
And I am reminded once again that I need to get my top off.
Sucks that it’s June and I have not had a chance to do so.
Whats going on with the sniper?

Thank you sir! Sniper is sitting on the shelf. With vacations, people visiting and all we have going on this summer I’ll probably wait until the fall to tackle it. Hate to be working on it in this stifling heat too.

....FYI, if you need a hand, I'll be in town for a week in September.

But it is a fairly simple install. You got it!
