84 BJ42 Fan Issue (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I ordered an OEM fan for my 84 BJ42. What i got was the seven blade fan clutch version. Original fan was Aisin 6 blade (no fluid clutch) marked with 84 which I assume has been in there from day one.

Question:
Can I install a fluid coupler/clutch to match the new fan or do I have to stick with original non fluid clutch set up?
Is it a matter of just bolting on clutch and fan or are there other consideration.

Current set up is top part of FSM with spacer?

U can switch to a fan clutch style like the FSM shows , u need the correct fan clutch

u may need a different water pump

that being said , Can i please have first Dibs on your Fan pulley spacer if u do switch ?

Thanks, probably not worth it if I have to change pump, you have first dibs on spacer if I go down that road though ?
