80series steering box measurements?

Hi everybody

Just wondering is there a way to measure or in another way tell the difference between a 62 box and a 80series box?

I ask because I have got a “80series” box - but really cant tell the difference from the 62 box!

thank you very much I have already read those and other treads here on MUD. Well it seems like the 80 housing should bee .5" lager I diameter than the 60series housing. I just wonder if that is true and where to measure it. I have a brand new steering house, that is supposed to be a 80series housing and it is only a few millimeters larger in diameter than my 60seris housing. But is does look a little different in the castings and It do not have the toyoda writings on it - like the 60series housing.
So I am a little confused and will not buy the new rebuild housing before I am absolutely sure that it is a 80series box

So maybe one of you could measure one for me and post a picture? that will be awesome - if you have one laying around in your workshop!

Sure, I can measure the box. Where would you like the measurements taken?

FYI - The pictures show a ported Redhead Steering box for hydro assit, so it’s slightly different. This box has a 105 sector shaft also.

Well I think the difference is the size of the piece where the label - made in the usa sits. The diameter of that that.

The diameter is 3 5/8".

Yes, it is a modified Toyota box. Redhead rebuilt it.

I guess that is around 88-89milimeters. Which means it is 4-5milimeters larger than a 60series housing.

Oh sorry...I should have noticed your in Denmark. I don't have a metric tape measure.
I could be wrong, but I show the conversion from 3 5/8" (3.625") to metric is 92 mm.
