I’m new at this so hang tight. I have 1996 LX450. It has 16x8 wheels and I’m looking to change. New 33” BF KO2’s. 6x5.5 with 0 offset. I’m looking at some wheels that have 1mm offset. Will those work or does the 1mm make that much difference. I’ve had a yes it will work and a no it won’t work with the caliper issue. Can I or not use those wheels?

Much appreciated,

SJMLX450

Sorry if I missed it, but what size are the new wheels? 16”x8” again? If you’re eventually going to larger tires 35’s or 37’s, 17” wheels will give you more tire choices. I’d want to know the back spacing number too. These are the stock wheel numbers.

Bolt pattern 6 x 5.5”, 6 x 139.7mm

Stock backspacing is 4.5”

Stock Offset is 0”

Center bore is 106mm

PCD is 139.7 (stud)

Stock is 16”x 8” with Offset of 0mm

A 10” wheel is 50mm wider so a -25mm offset would put the back edge of the wheel in the same place.

Here’s some wheels to consider that should work. The Icons with 4.75” backspacing rub with 37”s, but not smaller tires.

This is the wheel I'm looking at. I plan on staying with 16's for now because of the set of new tires (33's) that are on it. The bore is 108" and backspace is 4.54. Do you think they will work? I have a set of custom wheels (Stealth Custom Series) on it now but looking for a different look.

so will the 1mm offset work or does it have to be 0? Like i said earlier, i am getting different answers.

I didn’t think so either (because only 1mm) but a wheel tech said that it would interfere with the caliper. But then I talked to someone else at a 4x4 place and they said it SHOULD. Hmmmm.

I agree with @scottryana that 1 mm won’t make a difference, especially with 33’s. You should be good to go.
