Looking to buy my first 80 series and want to know what y’all think about this rust. The only rust on the vehicle is depicted in these pictures.
Price is $4700 obo for a 1994 with 250K miles no lockers—what should I offer (if I should)?

Pay the man and enjoy. Actually, ask about maintenance, items replaced, and look into the general welfare of the engine. We brag about our vehicles going 100’s of 1000’s of miles but these beasts of engineering greatness are not getting any newer. It takes a dedication bordering on an obsession to baseline the rig. After that you go down the rabbit hole of “while I’m in there” issues. Then theMUD OCD kicks in and you have a number of our great vendors on speed dial (they greet you by first name just seeing your number). Then...well where was i?

look closely, they aren’t getting any cheaper either.

Perfect candidate for a beer caned trail monster! But not a great place to start for anything else. Unless you happen to be a paint and body guy.

To me that’s a, spartan locker on both ends, take the bumper off, cut the fenders and put 37in swappers, and paint a big #3 on the door woods bomber grade truck.

But I guess that’s what Cherokees are for lol
