I recently picked up my 80 series cruiser. I am new to the 80 series specifically and solid axle vehicles generally. After driving it some and new shocks, adding a rear sway bar (was missing when I bought it), new tires and a wheel alignment. I should preface by saying it has a 6 inch lift with 37 inch tires. The wheel alignment shop indicated a -3:3 and -4 caster. Toe was both around -0.9 before alignment. After alignment I was completely uncontrollable at highway speed. Bumps and curves are especially hard to control. I have caster correction plates coming, along with a steering stabilizer. I ended up having the alignment shop put the toe back to what it was. It’s at least somewhat controllable like that. It still wanders around on the road, at times abruptly heading towards the ditch. As I’m also completely ignorant of alignment terminology I’m hoping someone could help point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!
