Hmm, Let me look into this. The tolerances are easy to hit in delrin. Could see if a place I used to work would let me run one of the slant bed cnc lathes lights out with the bar feeder. Depending on how long delrin raw stock is, one could crank out a couple hundred parts in one night.

Holy schnikes that would be phenomenal.

You could definitely put me down for a set if you can pull it off. Even greasable shackle pins and poly bushings have their limits (one of mine squeaks no matter how often I grease and flex it).

Sorry guys, delrin will be a awful choice for a leaf spring bushing for anything other then straight line drag racing.

Yes, delrin is hard but I feel it would definitely be worth a try. I’ll have to do some research into the durometer values of several materials to see what would be in between the current material and delrin. My 911 track car uses spherical rod ends, you know when you roll over a quarter if it’s heads or tails up

haha dude i didnt look at the username when i replied. In your case the 80 box will help a lot, when i did my swap over the steering was night and day difference. I think the 80 steering linkage has less play than the 60 does. My 60 had new TREs, new steering stabilizer, new shocks, new spring bushings, Adjusted steering box, and good caster. My current steering with the 80 stuff is so much better. I even ran it with no steering stabilizer for 3 weeks and it was still better than the 60 steering with all new parts

Curious why that would be the case. Is it the loads that would be put on the material in cornering and 4x4 applications? Excessive road vibration and harsh ride?

I've already got poly body mount bushings that, to quote @DrRock lets you tell if a quarter is heads or tails. Those I intend to eventually swap back out for OEM rubber to smooth the ride out a bit (to the tune of just shy of $400, so that will be prioritized behind a few other things).

The spring eyes want to twist, not just spin around the axis of the spring/shackle pins. The twisting is what I think the delrin won't stand up to..
