1992 80 Series, had the main seal replaced because my shop said that is where the motor oil was leaking from. Had them change the main seal, leak stopped for 3 days, now it is back. Is there anything else that would cause that? Where should I look? Any ideas is greatly appreciated.

Often the seal wears a groove in the housing seat and replacing it with a new seal won't solve the problem. The typical solution is to seat the replacement seal deeeper in the bore, or back it up with a second seal, or both. This can also be a low cost fix if the crankshaft journal is grooved.

Used OEM Seal at Toyota dealer. Vehicle has 165K on it and looks new.
