I have a 12v Toyota OEM Aisin 1000 electric winch, rated at 3600 kg in near new condition for sale from a 1995 Japanese spec 80 series. This winch was never offered as an option in North America.
The Aisin winch has a built-in relay solenoid that only connects power to the winch when the controller is plugged in and ignition is on, which eliminates power to the winch when not being used. The winch also has a temperature sensor linked to a buzzer on the winch remote controller that sounds when the motor is getting too hot. Here is a link to a comparative review with the Warn 8274.

This winch is off my 1995 HDJ81 Landcruiser I imported from Japan in 2013. The winch has been used once to pull a few shrubs out the ground. The reason I am selling is that I ordered a Slee Shortbus bumper and found latter I could not easily modify the bumper to fit the factory winch.
The winch assembly is complete for the 80 series -- it includes the frame mount, power relay that fits under the battery, the Aisin winch controller, storage pouch, all cables and wiring, front bumper, fasteners, winch cover and license plate holder. For any 80 series Landcruiser this is a virtually a 'bolt-on' winch and bumper mod. Everything is in near new condition.
Price is $950 USD plus shipping from Washington State. If you plan to install synthetic rope, I can take off the wire rope and roller fairlead which will reduce shipping weight to 150 lbs. I can ship via Fastenal (by pallet store to store) that is cheaper than the major courier services.
