I'm not sure about upgrades, but a good place to start would be with what the OEM was. You can enter your VIN here and they will serve you up a full set of parts illustrations. You can then use those parts numbers to explore your options, if there are any.

If you do pick up new calipers, they came with the bracket for my 97. I found the rotors barely worn and rather than tear all that down at the moment, I just went with R&Ring the calipers. One was frozen, the other in rough shape. Afterwards, the brakes overall were massively improved. Still need to do the rear wheel bearings/seals and get the E-brake fully operational.
