I didn't click links to be a price shopper, but I seem to recall cruiserparts.net had hand throttles & passenger grab bars (grey only, sorry fellas!) too.
At least I was surprised they did when I'd called for a few used parts.

No worries, just pointing it out in case anyone's in the market for a hand throttle.

I always have been leery about OEM parts on eBay without part bags that have the part numbers on them.

There are **a lot** of non-OEM, knock-offs being sold on eBay as OEM.

:meh:

That said, the price point is good on some non-US parts.

Second pic looks like it's in OEM bags.

Well I gave it a shot, they shipped the thing in a plastic bag all the way from China so obviously the plastic part that meets the crimped metal sleeve on the cable was broken. A little JB weld and duct tape and it's good, but I'll always know how jankey that thing is behind the dash.

The factory hand throttles are pretty crap anyway, so It's not going to make a huge difference.

Tell me why you would want a hand throttle kit? Im guessing your legs are not paralyzed and I cant think of a reason why I would need one.

Airing up and winching. Use mine regularly 1800 - 2000 RPM.

akella sells the OEM here on MUD for a good price (out of Canada)

OK, I thought it was just something that mounted to the steering wheel. I guess it is a longer cable that will allow you to rev while not in teh driver seat?

I just picked up my 91 fj80 a few months ago and it already has one, does this mean it's not original? My 88 fj62 had one also so I assumed it was factory. This rig also has trd badges on both sides on the front. I am also wondering if these are original or maybe the truck originated in canada?

A little education is needed here.....the 80s have a spot for a hand throttle under the dash, right side of steering column. Look for a round blank knockout piece. The gas pedal has a spot for hooking up the hand throttle as well. I use it when running the York OBA and also for winching.
