Hope you guys are keeping safe! Just wanted to ask if anyone here has a service manual for the HDJ 81 Aisin winch? Mine has started leaking and would like to do a rebuild and service.

The winch documentation is in the chassis manual for your 81 series.

There is a great section on MUD called “Resources”.

Amazingly enough the chassis manual is there! For free!

There's a pair of double lipped seals on either end of the drum IIRC and the center of the drum shares oil with the clutch and planetary. I thnk these can be changed by unbolting one side from the winch plate and pulling apart. Don't quote me on that.
