Thanks Andy.I've removed the bullbar since that photo was took and I think it looks even better without it! Got £140 for it on Ebay.

I'm trying to get hold of one of those clear plastic bonnet-edge protectors to keep the stone chips down but can't find one to fit an '80.

nice looking rig .. but most impresive are your very clear wheels .. ! factory woou .. mine need some care.

I've now kept meticulous records for close to 20,000 km and find the 1HDT is very sensitive to temperature and driving conditions. My worst fuel consumption ever is 16.2 l / 100 km (100% short trips, weather below 0 degrees C and including some mid level off roading) and my best ever so far was 11.51 l / 100 km (Regina to Lethbridge in winter). I have so far not been able to duplicate the mileage others seem to get with this engine, though I do not drive hard. I have a friend who consistently gets about 15% better than me, though he drives under better conditions for the most part. I've noticed a HUGE difference driving between highway and city, at least 25% for me.

My close to 20,000 km avg is 13.54 l / 100 km, adjusted using GPS and generally using the same pump over and over. So I think at this point it's pretty accurate. I consistently hear rumours a better exhaust may help, but I also hear it won't. That's the only significant difference between my truck and my friends. Compression and overall km are similar. Other than this vehicle, I usually get about what is average for other vehicles so I don't think it's my driving.

To all of you, I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hampster, and your father smelt of elderberries!

Kalawang .. your 80 series from 1990 are Ful time . ?

My 1990 81 series is full time 4wd.

Tapage,

Sorry. I've only now come back to this thread.

Mine is an AWD also considered by some as full time. I've never learned to distinguish between the two terms. For what the information would serve, mine is definitely a JDM as evidenced by the stickers and the conversions done.
