Where does the cabin filter (for the larger hose port) mount?

it mounts on the inside of the firewall behind the glove box area

There is a plastic grid that covers the squirrel cage in the blower assembly. This is inside on the firewall below the glove box.

See the uncapped port just to the left of the heater valve? That’s where it connects.
