I am setting my cruiser up for a soft-top. My 3 point seat belts were attached to the hard top side panels. Where do I bolt my seat belts to when I have a soft top on? I thought of buying some replacement lap belts from 72 to 76 fj40's.
Any advise or suggestions would be appreaciated. Thx

mine are on the roll bar, is there tabs to bolt on the rollbar?

No tabs on the roll bar. Mine were bolted to the hard top side panels. Thx

Mike,

If you have the OEM rollbar, you can attach the upper pivot point of the belt in place of the lower bolt on the rollbar bracket - the bracket that attaches the side bars to the main hoop. The belt reel may have a mounting point low on the main rollbar hoop. If not, buy some heavy stock L bracket or fab some angle iron and bolt the bottom of the L bracket with one of the rollbar to rear fender bolts. Bolt the belt reel to the upright portion of the L. The reel must be vertical to work properly. Be sure to use appropriate materials (steel & bolts). You will want them to hold you in case of an accident. Safety first!

Good Luck
