Here’s a 78, stars restored. Not mine, no affiliation. Not sure if anyone here owns it. What do you guys think? Pics are kind of blurry but looks clean. I’m not in the market (currently...) but always curious what they go for all ends of the spectrum.

Frame off restoration 1978 FJ40, 6 cylinder 2F264900. In excellent condition and drives nice! There is absolutely no rust, bondo or issuses. It's all mostly original minus the radiator and seats. Paint Color: Tan; Seats: Black, 4WD, Weather Tech Mats, & Floor Covering. Fun Vehicle to DRIVE!!

$38000 is a big number for a truck that is not restored to a high standard. This one may deserve a look but it seems to have a few things that might not be 100% correct.

This vehicle once belonged to me. I was the one who put it back together. The tub was bought and shipped from New Hampshire and was spotless, no rust, dings or dents. There was absolutely no rust whatsoever on the whole vehicle. I changed out the seats because the other ones were rusted out completely. All the parts I put back on were OEM. The FJ didn't come with a smog pump. The only other thing that isn't original is the radiator. If you guys are pros on the costs of these vehicles then you know that perfect ones run for $45,000 and up. I sold this vehicle and I'm guessing this is the new owners ad.

Yeah, looks like it's in amazing shape. 78 is one of the best years too imho. Upgraded seats, console, header, doesn't detract at all especially if you're going to drive it. They'll find a buyer at that price I bet.
