I am thinking about buying a pretty clean 77 fj40 tub to replace my 74 rustbucket that has serious integrity issues. Anyone with experience putting on a new tub want to clue me in on the size of the project (HUGE!). I am guessing that there will be a lot of pitfalls and I would like to keep my swing out rear doors which means some mods to get that lined up correctly, re-doing linkage for everything, etc. Also, will the two tubs match up in size and will I be able to use my 74 hard top and doors, do the seat bracket match up, and so on and so on, there are really so many questions that I don't know where to start, which is why am appealing to the all knowing Forum for advice.
