you dont think getting married is going to allow you to be more liberal with your money do ya? Its easier to ask for forgiveness than permission once your married, keep that in mind. h

Oh man,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Man I wish I was already married. This saving money deal is really getting to be a PITA. :D

Just when you think you have that money together to buy that new "????" your wife will want dishes that match, a couch and chairs the same color, a dining room suite, new blinds, new carpet, a family car worth a flip, that diamond **** that she's ALWAYS wanted, and with age there will be a new list of must haves, a tummy tuck, breast lift, dental veneers, lipo suction, laser surgery for her eyes etc etc. Yes indeed it will be so much easier AFTER you are married to spend money on toys, GOOD LUCK and congrats on your soon to be nuptials, Mike

Surprisingly...she wants one just as badly as I do and is interested in us both learning about it together. We actually want to find one after the wedding so that it's something we can learn about together. I can turn a wrench on our Jeeps but this would be incredibly involved and the amount of potential fabrication scares us. I figured if we were over our heads...at least we'd be together. :D

She was in a turbulent marriage before we met and in an effort to salvage the marriage, she went out and picked out an old 50's Mercury for her and him to restore/spend time together but he thought it was stupid. She started on it but didn't know what to do so she sold the Merc and filed for divorce.

I had to laugh at your post...it's not her at all. She likes vintage things and the ring I propsed with is one that I found after visiting hundreds of vintage jewelers. It's white gold and from the 1920's. I propsed after landing one of our beautiful Colorado trout. I had the ring in the net and gave it to her and asked her to look for a lost fly. We made the move out here together and rivers are very much a part of my life. It was cool to ask as the sun set over the Divide and we stood in the riffles. She's incredibly laid back and that's just one reason why she's a keeper. Just not sure if both of us have what it takes to restore an older vehicle into something that'll be reliable for us to travel with during our summers off.

Just pickin'

Just pickin' at you. I was married to the Ice Princess for 11 years, that ended back in 91. I have been with the same woman for 13 years or so, she lives 4 houses down across the street, makes us both happy.

Mike
