I’m in love with this color scheme!

Okay so I already have an 8274 winch and would like to mount it on the 40. I prefer the stock look of a OEM bumper. Any reason I can’t weld on a plate to the factory bumper to make my own? Is it better to have one bent to match out of thicker material and weld a plate to that?

There is a mud member who made a diy support kit that enables you to retain your factory front bumper and mount a 8274. See if I can find it.

Pretty excited to get this jack for our 40 I just bought off eBay. 🤘🏼❤️🤘🏼If my research was correct, this is period correct for our 40. Not that it really matters.

Got a care package from @classiccruisersllc today. Some crank bars to go with our jack. I have a lead on the crank handle and then I’ll have a complete set!

Anyone know the color code of the factory jack yellow?

Drained the old fuel and this weekend I’ll replace the filter and see if that solves the rough running.

Got my new tool roll! It’s not what would’ve come with my ‘76, as mine would’ve been a bag. Only the bag, screw drivers and grease gun are Toyota I believe. I have some missing parts in my stock pile I think.

1st pic is with my Toyota tools I had, although they aren’t the exact year for the roll. Many are from newer ones I believe. The 2nd pic is what the roll should have in it.

I wanna go soft top and don’t currently see putting the hard top back on. I also wanna use the money for a soft top. Am I insane to sell it?

Congrats on the jack and extensions find, I gave up looking and am going to order new jack and accessories from Amayama Japan and change the current brown color to yellow.

A Land Cruiser shop (I forget which one) had good results with Dupli-Color model #DA1663 School Bus Yellow. I'm going to try this.

dont Sell it. I’ve sold some things on land cruisers in the past and regretted it later on. i could never find what i wanted/needed again and would have been much money ahead.
heck right now I have 2 hard tops for my BJ74.

Don't sell it you will never find one in that great shape with matching paint later on. Good solid tops are getting harder to find.

Okay I’ve been swayed. I’m keeping it for now.
