76 FJ40 Dash pad removal (1 Viewer)

Folks, want to remove the dash pad, the PO had only 5 screws, every one of them different, took ages to remove them all, but it s not obvious how to remove the dash pad from that point. It looks like it should slide up but will not budge. Suggestions and instructions welcome. I don’t want to break anything with main force.

Thanks, Byron, you are right, although I really don’t want to drop my windshield. Will experiment a bit tomorro, and report any revelations

not sure it will come off without tilting the windshield frame forward, as the lip of the dash pad is under the gasket between the windshield frame and cowl.

Ya will need to tip window forward even if ya get it off without
you will be tipping window forward to get it back on properly
