From memory, eye to eye on the rear leafs on my troopie is 1250mm. Will double check when it stops raining if noone else can confirm.

Thanks for that guys, really appreciate it.I allready have lifted 60 springs in the rear from iron man which side great on the road but don't flex very well so will be putting the longer 75 series springs in over x mass

Its not the longer springs you need. Its flexible springs. Ironman have always a reputation of not being flexible enough.
You could try resetting your springs with more arch and 1-2 leafs removed.
You will have to modify the 75 leaves as they are load carrying usually. They bounce like a tennis ball without a load in the back.

that a lot of work installing a 75 series rear spring to a 73 series... need to relocate all the spring perch... or open a new hole in the spring, here in venezuela we had the fj62 it has the same length spirng as the 75 but the hole in the spring are in the right place only need to relocate the rear perch of the spring were the snakle is ..that fj62 is between 1989 to 1992 here in venezuela

The 60 series probably had more rear spring options than any landcruiser.

I have done a fair but it work tuning my ironman springs....the main problem is shackle angle,I have rears up front which work amazing off road and want to achieve the same in the rear,I am quite capable of cutting and moving spring mounting points so for me it's not a big deal to fit the longer springs

If I was to reset with more arch it would give me a more vertical shackle angle/higher spring rate which would limit down travel

I mentioned removing a few leaves as well which would negate the extra arch. If you removed a few leaves without changing the arch ,it would most likely sag.

A vague Rule of Thumb: long leaves are for extra load carrying, short leaves increase spring arch.
The add a leafs from OME are as long as the two main leafs, if that is any indication then it holds true.

Sorry yes, that's quite true so yes that would improve shackle angle, main problem with that is I would lose lift and am running 37s at the moment,I have decieded to go with the 75 springs and soften them up as they also have more arch, the longer spring will give me alot better down travel as longer springs = more wheel travel.even if they are quite stiff I will set the shackle angle to 45 degreese which makes a huge difference to spring rate

Why don't you just get a main and wrap leaf made a bit longer if you want different shackle angle? Sounds like a lot of work putting 75 series springs in and changing mounts. with a 45 degree shackle at ride height make shore you do you math properly when you position the new mounting points to ensure the shackle doesn't lay flat on the chassis when the spring is compressed. Set height on a 75 vs 60 series spring is minimal.

I used main and armour spring from a 78 combined with 4 inch lift 73 spring on my 73,
I relocated both the mounts though but my girl flexes pretty good now,
Most of the details can be found here.
