most of the readers on this thread have no idea what it costs to properly refurbish a cruiser...

You're suggesting that the resto mod I linked isn't "properly refurbished". I disagree. Furthermore, I would value the more rare body style and 3FE engine much more than an expensive paint job. IMO 75K is crazy to pay for an old truck, regardless of condition. You couldn't touch an ICON for that price, BTW. But, given the offer to pick one I'd take the ICON.

To me personally, if it is not 100% stock, it loses value no matter how much you pay for paint and stuff, so to each their own. Am I the only one who noticed the red paint on the body mount...

I would rather have a stock old 40 in original paint than an ICON...actually, if someone gave me an ICON, I would turn around and sell it.

take a close look at the pics in the one you linked.
to take your post one step further, the idea of paying $250K to $500K for a restored Muscle car is ludicrous ... although people do pay to play.
in the end it costs what it costs and $120K price tag can be completely realistic.

when you are designing a vehicle for a specific need for a specific customer, at that point it is the owner that dictates the value ... till he goes to sell it.

Obviously this was built to someones personal specs and to him it is probably worth every cent of the 100K+ receipts.

That said....I love it! Whoever buys it....for whatever price, will be a lucky guy/gal!
