74 Throwout bearing and clutch replacement (1 Viewer)

I need to replace my throwout bearing and will probably do the clutch at the same time. I was looking for a thread on how to do this and about how hard is it to do. Thanks guys and it's a 4 speed.

You’ll want to do the rear main seal and the front trans seal “while you're there”. There’s a rear main seal thread in the FAQs. Hardest part is getting to it. The rest is straight forward. If it were me I’d do both bearings, surface the flywheel, clutch, and front trans seal. No sense going in that far twice...

Pretty easy once the trans is out.

It’s not too hard it’s just a lot of work , I would recommend buying or borrowing a trans jack. Get a Haynes manual and go for it.
