I bought a restoration heater kit from SOR for my front heater for my fj40 and would like to know if I installed the hardware on the lever correctly. Attached are some pics of the heater. Thanks

Did those white plastic bushings come with the kit?

I recently did the same with a heater from a 1/76. After carefully studying the best high res images of old and restored heaters I could find on google, I came up with the same configuration you did. Everything works like it should.

One thing to note: My kit from SOR did not include the two fatter white plastic bushings that make up the gap where the control lever attaches to the lower flap arm bracket, and where the lower flap arm bracket attaches to the heater housing. I'm sure those aren't the correct terms, but you can see in the pictures the fatter spacers I'm talking about. I salvaged those when I took it apart.
