73 FJ40 motor question

I got a 73 FJ40 3 speed with no working engine. I have a F2 motor that I can pickup but was told the motor mounts were different. Can a F2 motor fit in my 73 with the original motor mounts?

Hi All:

Yes, the 2F I-6 will bolt-up to the engine mounts for the earlier "F" engine.

you might get a lil more help/info in the 40-55 series section as this is 70 series cruiser's, not 1970s cruisers
