I had my carb recently rebuilt and when it came back I noticed a peculiar thing about it when I was adjusting the fuel mixture. normally I tried to find the middle of the sweet spot for this setting. After setting the timing I would turn the screw out until it started sputtering then I would turn it in until it started sputtering, then after counting the turns I would just set it in the middle.

Unfortunately now, the highest and smoothest RPMs are when the screw is turned all the way in.... hmmm.

Took the screw out and compared it to the one they were selling on
City Racer Screw for 2F

with my screw of the 1F

Anyone know if they are interchangeable? One is longer than the other but should be adjustable as long as threads are same? Or perhaps the wrong one got put into my carb.

My carb.

i have a NOS sealed Teq Parts bag of your 1973 F1.5 needed shorter Early style idle screws

i mic'd one thu the plastic parts bag and its .5 mm longer then your original in your tech photos

this is because , your old one there is crushed slightly and out of round too a bit

someone at some point really cranked down on that puppy GORILLA style for certain , its trashed and should NOT be installed again ........

PM me to discuss the NOS here below please

thanks matt
