I have a '71 with the two piece speedo cable but it doesn't seem to work anymore. If I bought a one piece, would that work? Thanks for any help. I've combed the forum without much luck.

Yes no issues using a 1 piece speedo cable.

I didn't know 71's came with a 2 piece speedo setup.

Have you checked the plastic spider gear in the tranny?

My 71 had the 2 piece with the speed sensor. I eliminated the speed sensor—call SOR they will tell you which one to get. It fits well.

This is the Correct 1 piece Speedometer cable for your 1972

it is OEM TOYOTA NOS Part , and in Perfect preserved Condition , with its original Parts Bag

Providing You Still Have a Screw On Style Cluster Meter / with Female Threads where the New Cable would

attach on the back of it ................

if you are unsure , feel free to PM me some Photos of the back side where the cable attaches Directly

I can make a Positive ID for you

if for some reason you have the other Plastic Clip On later type Cluster meter , I Also Have the Correct

cable for that application as well ...................

let me know how i can help ?

Kindly

matt :)
